SOMETHING
TO THINK ABOUT
The
main task of Israelian archology is to find proof of the early
existence of the Israelites in Kanaan.
The
first accepted artefact with proof of this fact, is the
Menepteh-stele (1208 bc.). The son of Ramses the Great ordered a
victory-monument, with his military victories during his reign, so
far. He was military succesfull in Libia, Sudan and Kanaan.
In
this last part, Israel is mentioned as being defeated and
annihilated; “There seed is no more.”
The
Egyptian pharaoh Menepteh, son of Ramses II, the Great, could not
have been more wrong.
