MUMBAI: Several places of worship in Rajasthan, UP, Odisha as well as Mumbai's Siddhivinayak temple, have been put on high alert following intelligence inputs of four Pakistan-backed terror groups planning joint terror attacks in India to coincide with US President Barack Obama's visit.

The Union home ministry has asked security agencies across the country, especially these four states, to take all steps to secure these sites. The Intelligence Bureau inputs state that four Pakistan-based terrorist groups—Jamat-Ud-Dawa, Hizbul Mujahideen, Lashkar-e-Taiba and Jaish-e- Mohammed—have dispatched four terror modules to India, which may carry out the attacks before January 28. Obama will arrive in India on January 25, on a three-day visit as the guest of honour for the Republic Day Parade.
