Adolf Hitler did not start World War 2 in 1939. It started as an European conflict between Germany, Great Britain and France over the Nazi's attacking Poland. The conflict could have escalated when Russia, in a deal with Germany, occupied Eastern parts of Poland. The Allies decided not too.

This European war, mainly fought in Russia and Northern Africa, became a World War, when Japan started conquering South-East Asia and bombed Pearl Harbor.

Was it a good decision of Hitler when he supported Japan, by declaring war on America?

This is a lesson in timetravel (preparation and evoking the necessary energy). Study it well.

When you want to go back in time, the least you have to know, how that society worked, the cities looked like and the people behaved.
