Photos surface reportedly showing Army soldiers posing with corpses of suicide bombers in Afghanistan

US troops from the Combined Task Force 1-67 under Afghanistan's International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) patrol with armored vehicles in Arghandab district in southern Afghanistan, the former stronghold of Taliban insurgents, on July 29, 2011. All foreign combat forces are due to leave Afghanistan by the end of 2014, and last week the first set of security handovers from NATO to Afghan forces took place in seven parts of the country. Two of the images were posted on the LA Times' website on Wednesday morning.
One shows a group of soldiers and Afghan police officers posing with severed legs of an apparent suicide bomber in Zabol province in February 2010, according to the LA Times.
Another shows what the newspaper reported is a pair of paratroopers posing with the bearded corpse of a man killed while trying to plant a roadside bomb.
